Cairo: Egyptian wrestler Ashraf Mahrous, known as Kabonga, has recently achieved three Guinness World Records, showcasing remarkable feats of strength. On March 13, 2025, at Cairo’s Ramses train station, Mahrous pulled a 279-ton train using only his teeth, moving it nearly 10 meters (approximately 33 feet). This accomplishment earned him the record for the heaviest rail pull using only teeth.
In addition to this, Mahrous set records for the heaviest locomotive pull and the fastest 100-meter road vehicle pull. Notably, he pulled a two-ton locomotive over 100 meters in under 40 seconds.
Mahrous, in his 40s and serving as the president of the Egyptian Federation for Professional Wrestlers, has a history of record-breaking performances. In June 2021, he pulled a 15,730-kilogram truck with his teeth, and in February 2024, he cracked and consumed 11 raw eggs in 30 seconds.
Despite training inconsistently for only 20 days before the event, Mahrous’s exceptional strength was evident in these achievements.
These feats not only highlight Mahrous’s individual capabilities but also underscore the potential of human physical strength when combined with dedication and resilience.
