Nigeria President Tinubu appoints retired DIG JB Kokumo Coordinator, National Arms Control Centre
A former Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja Johnson Babatunde Kokumo (rtd) has been appointed as new Coordinator of the National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons by President Bola Tinubu.
The appointment of Kokumo to head the office under the Office of the National Security Adviser was announced in a statement by presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale on Tuesday evening
DIG Kokumo (rtd) is a seasoned and accomplished law enforcement professional with over 30 years of experience in crime prevention, management, analysis, and control.
Until he retired from Nigeria Police Force (NPF), DIG Kokumo was Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja, from 2022 to 2023.
