LPPMC: A Political Awakening Rooted in Patriotism, Progress, and Diaspora Power

By Dr. Michael Omoruyi | iNewsAfrica
In a season when cynicism has become the default political mood in Nigeria, a fresh wind is blowing—quietly but resolutely—from both within and beyond the nation’s borders. It carries the voice of a rising movement, fueled by idealism, courage, and collective responsibility. That movement is the Liberal Progressive and Patriotic Members Congress (LPPMC).
The LPPMC is more than a political party—it is a moral realignment. It was formed in response to a growing realization: that the Nigerian dream has been hijacked by those who treat public office as private inheritance, and governance as a game of personal gain. Nigerians, both at home and abroad, are ready to rewrite that story.
A Nation at a Crossroads
For decades, Nigeria has cycled through parties and personalities, yet the essential crisis remains unchanged: insecurity, unemployment, corruption, and poor leadership. Citizens are told to be patient while their lives are frozen in hardship. The youth are urged to stay hopeful while they hustle for passports.
At this critical juncture, LPPMC offers a third path—not between two flawed choices, but a wholly new direction based on the values that can truly transform a nation: liberalism, progressivism, and patriotism.
What LPPMC Stands For
LPPMC is built on three pillars:
-
Liberalism – Freedom of expression, access to opportunity, and protection of rights are non-negotiable in a modern democracy. We uphold a Nigeria where every citizen can live without fear or discrimination.
-
Progressivism – We believe in policies that promote innovation, inclusivity, and justice. We prioritize youth leadership, education reform, digital transformation, and healthcare equity—not as talking points, but as urgent national priorities.
-
Patriotism – True patriotism means more than waving the flag. It means standing up for Nigeria when others sell it short. It means rejecting the politics of division and defending the dignity of every Nigerian life.
Diaspora: The Engine of a New Nigeria
What makes LPPMC distinct is its diaspora-first strategy. Nigerians in the diaspora are often reduced to remittance machines—sending money home but excluded from policy conversations. LPPMC changes that. We view the diaspora not as supporters but as strategic co-creators of Nigeria’s future.
From New York to Nairobi, Toronto to Accra, LPPMC is organizing town halls, policy labs, and electoral awareness campaigns. Our goal is to activate the intellectual capital of our people abroad and connect it directly with community building and grassroots change back home.
A Movement of Doers, Not Dealers
We are not a recycled assembly of old power brokers in new wrappers. LPPMC is powered by teachers, entrepreneurs, students, public servants, market traders, and community organizers. We don’t measure our credibility in titles held, but in lives touched.
We understand that reclaiming Nigeria requires more than ambition—it requires institutional courage, civic responsibility, and a new political ethic anchored in service, not self.
Call to Action: Home and Abroad
To every Nigerian—whether in Lagos or London, Enugu or Edmonton—this is your call to action:
-
Join a local or diaspora chapter.
-
Volunteer your skill, your voice, your platform.
-
Be part of the redefinition of Nigerian politics from the ground up.

This is not a moment for silence. It is not a time to watch from the sidelines. LPPMC is building a bridge between the disillusioned and the determined, between the forgotten and the future.
We are not asking for power. We are igniting purpose.
