Lagos: A group of 50 students from Harvard Kennedy School, representing 18 countries, recently visited the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Fertilizer complex in Lagos, Nigeria. This visit was part of their traditional excursion to Ghana and Nigeria, focusing on corporate policy and public administration.
During their tour, the students were received by Aliko Dangote, President and Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited.
He emphasized the importance of ambition and resilience, encouraging the students to pursue their goals fearlessly. Dangote stated, “Life is not worth living without ambition. In this life, nothing is impossible. Don’t allow fear to hold you back.”
The visit provided the students with practical insights into the operations of the world’s largest single-train refinery and its role in enhancing Nigeria’s energy security and economic transformation.
Sheffy Kolade, leader of the Harvard Kennedy School student-led Nigeria-Ghana Trek, remarked that the Dangote Group symbolizes Nigeria’s resilience and economic progress.
