New York City: In a remarkable turn of events, 25-year-old Jenny Saint Pierre, who had been reported missing from Hallandale Beach, Florida, since August 2024, was found after giving birth on a New York City subway train.
On February 12, 2025, while aboard a southbound W train at the 34th Street-Herald Square station, Saint Pierre unexpectedly went into labor. Fellow passengers assisted in the delivery, with one individual using a pocket knife to cut the umbilical cord. Both mother and child were subsequently transported to Bellevue Hospital, where they were reported to be in good condition.
Saint Pierre’s family had been deeply concerned for her well-being, especially given her diagnosis of schizophrenia and her advanced pregnancy at the time of her disappearance. Her sister, Stephania, recognized Jenny from videos of the birth that circulated on social media, expressing immense relief upon discovering her sister’s whereabouts.
